Key Wont Turn.

So I have the first major issue with my 1999 Acura TL...the key wont turn to the on position. Started happening today, I put the key in, try to turn it but it wont turn, like it's locked. After playing around with it for a few minutes or so, eventually I'll get it to turn. I don't have another key so I can't check if it's just the key. Any ideas?

I do that, but the steering wheel is locked and the key still has trouble. This never used to happen, could it be I need a new key or ignition lock cylinder?

I had the same issue with my '99 TL a few years ago. Car had ~230,000 miles at that time. Problem was key was worn down from years of inserting and removing from ignition cylinder. Just go and have another key cut to the original specs (including having the internal key sensor so your car will start). After having new key cut (I did at dealer and it was not that expensive - bring your old key with you), everything worked well.

try the other key if you have it. When I bought the car new I had a key cut at home depot which I keep in my wallet just to get me in the door. It also serves as a backup template in case I need to get a new chipped key.
