Just what i need!! front end clunking while driving

noticed this morning, getting a repeated clunking sound and feeling as i drive. the faster i go the faster and worse it gets. It seems like its coming from the front wheels, and i can feel it in the steering wheel.

started to get worse as i was driving home. I actually had to put my hazards on and drive home like at 10 mph. i thought my wheels were going to fall off or something. I looked under the car for anything obvious but did not see anything, but then again i have no idea what to look for. I was thinking suspension parts or steering but i dont know.

any ideas anybody??

could it be a tire problem - or a bent rim? how do the tires look?

they look good, just put the stock wheels and tires back on about 2 weeks ago. could be a bent rim. would have to have hit something though and dont remember hitting anything.

ill check as soon as i get a chance.

did this start when you put the stockies back on? if so, there's your problem.

Double check that the lugs are tight. Also inspect the axles for play

Had similar issue one time on a different car. Had somebody rework the front brakes & they forgot to tighten the caliper mtg. bolts on one side. Started vibrating, one bolt fell out. Felt like the wheels were loose.

Since you said you just swapped wheels two weeks ago, they may have come loose since then. You're supposed to re-torque them after about a 100 miles.

I've seen ice/snow buildup inside the wheels do this as well.

Definitely update us. I'm having the same problem, but it's more of a squeaking noise too.
