Infrequent acceleration issues

hello, my 2000 TL has episodes , especially after stopping and turning, that it won't take acceleration. You can hear then engine upon pressing gas pedal but it won't take. Then all of a sudden it jerks and we take off. I never know when this is gonna happen. I have taken it to shop numerous times. They say that tgey cannot fix something that never happens. It's scary when it does it at red lights or pulling on to a busy highway. Any suggestions. May happen once a month, three times a day or once a week. You just never know. Please help.

Tranny is dying. You can try drain & fill several times, clean the solenoid filter screens, and replace the spin off filter. Most likely there are internal issues though and one day it won't move at all regardless of what you do. Time to swap in an AV6.
