Idle ?

I believe I have a exhaust leak, im about to go to the shop and check it out, but wierd thing is that last night I was driving home from work and when I came to a red light The idle seemed high so i put the car in neutral and the Rpms were at 2,000 Rpms and would go back down to 1 when i put it in drive . If i put it in park it would also idle high around 2-2.5rpms . what could be the cause of this

Neutral @ 2k & Park @ 2.5k = big problem when shifting the tranny into gear !

Check the IAC Valve as it may be sticking. Also, look over the throttle body area for any potential leaks.
Make sure all the vacuum lines are intact.

Also check the throttle body area for any mechanical obstruction. I've seen a walnut hold a throttle about 1/2 way open. Make sure there's a little slack in the throttle cable as well as the cruise control cable. Make sure your enemies haven't installed any double thick toyota floor mats.

Those listed seem like it would only contribute to an exhaust leak. I don't think it would have anything to do with an idle problem. Troubleshoot idle problem first.

Hey Hondakid23, exhaust work and pricing will vary greatly depending upon the type of repairs or modifications done. It's best to check with more than one shop, just to compare options and pricing. If you require a service that you're not capable of doing yourself, then there's a gray area in the difference between what may be a good or bad price.

At the end of the day, it's your safety along with the workmanship quality that matters most !!!!
