I have a 2002 tl type s with humming type nosie coming from the engine bat area. The noise sounds like a bad fan motor on the raditor but the fans are not running when the car is making the noise. The noise seem loudest at the drivers side between the motor and firewall area? The car makes the nosie all the time and seems doesn't change with the speed of the car. Its makes the noise with car just idling and not moving.anyone had this issuse before? Thanks for your help.

 

my car hums, but i believe its cause i have a stock k&n filter replacement and took off the resonator. That is when i noticed it.

 

vacuum leak? that would be my guess, unless he took out the intake resonator
hows teh car running, did u do any mods around that area?

 

my friend's CL-s does this. I think its normal, I found it kinda weird when I first noticed too.
