How to remove badge residue?

The owner of the car before me had removed the badges, however there is still some residue where the "3.2TL" used to be. I am worried that if I use goof-off or something similar it will ruin the paint. Any suggestions?

goof- off will work if not use some polishing compound or something more aggresive like rubbing compound and wax it.

If it's that stubborn use Goof-off. Or you could try Turtle Wax bug & tar remover.
