How do i know which horn went bad

My horn does not work on my 2003 tl-type s. I thought it was the fuse but bought a new one and that is not the problem. So i assume one of the horns went bad but how do i know if it is the low note or high note horn?

Even if 1 horn isn't working the other one will still work. Just disconnect them and test it out. I removed 1 of the 2 horns on my car to save weight.

I would make sure the horn button is hooked up properly also.

ck the horn relay as well as its fuse
no prob with old fuse? Maybe just a wire connector loose or off its horn.
any recent high water crossings?

the front horn is located under the front cover panel- just in front of radiator
May be able to reach from under the car

try harbor freight tools for a $12 pair of super loud 110 db! horns- that make the oe units seem like a whisper.

hey brian- there is a brick like object in front of car on bumper that can go in the recycle bin
big weight savings for auto-x'rs

Also if looking for every ounce, replace HID low beam parts with aftermarket- the stock ballast is a brick! new parts are smaller than a deck or cards and about the weight of said deck!

I know the first one is located near the radiator but where is the second.

It's in the under hood fuse/relay block.

Easy as pie. Spray one of the horns liberally with shaving cream. If the sound is greatly diminished, that is the good horn, if the sound is the same, the horn you sprayed is bad. The shaving cream will rinse off with a hose.
