How can I stop condensation in headlight?

I replaced the housing due to a fender bender and I siliconed the edges hoping to keep water out but after the first car wash the damm thing has water in it. Its a brand new housing, used ballast, new igniter and hid bulb. What am I missing? tia.

Make sure the bulbs are seated properly.

check for a hole where the wires go into the housing underneath- after the housing is dry- give it some silicone in the hole

Re-open, re seal and replace the washer that goes around the ballast. Do it asap or else you'll blow the ballast.

Get a new one. i had too, they tried charging me 1200 for parts n labor, plus the converter was ruined bc of it. but since i was under 50k they only charged me for labor. around 250$ i think (and the HID bulb was done for)

had this problem recently and it shorted my bulb and inverter. Just forked over a grand today and got a new housing, bulb, and inverter. I feel like a shmuck for leaving $1000 at the dealership...but I didn't have the time or the know-how to do it myself.

You're lucky they gave you such a deal.

i had the factory 4 yr/ 50K warranty, i was past the 4 yr part but under 50K so they gave me a "Good Faith" warranty deal, or atleast thats what the service manager told me. i got rid of my Lexus LS400 bc problems were too expensive to fix and about a month after i got my TL water started getting into the headlight and i later found out it cost 1200 n change to get my acura light fix, i was pissed. Acura of Naples, FL. every problem ive ever had they havent charged me or they have cut the price or every fix.

YES i agree with JnC. Get it fixed right away!

Had my headlights almost stolen about a year ago. Damaged my hood and housing. The leak in the housing popped my bulb and blew my ballast.

Replacing the ballast can cost UPTO $500.00 just for the ballast. Bulbs will cost UPTO $150 depending where you buy and brand of course...

SO... get it done ASAP
