My Fiancee's 2001 nissan pathfinder's hood will not close, it locks into place so it's not going to fly up while she's driving but it's missing that second step that completely closes the hood, I checked everything the latch looks fine, nothing seems loose.....any suggestions???

 

reduce the hood stoppers on the frame where the headlights are, or if your latch is loose or low, raise it up. if the ring on the hood does not go down far enough, the latch wont lock it. Lupe the latch too if it is sticky.

 

Is there anything blocking it from closing all the way IE battery cover or wallet?
