HIDs not matching?

Well one day I was going to work, both lights worked perfectly, so i get out of work 7hours later and my driver side lights gone. I go home, change a fuse and bam! Its fixed! Or was for 2minutes. the light would go out but the fuse wasn't burnt(the first one was) So the fuse isn't burnt but it did make a loud pop and the light dies again.

I bought a used ballast to solve the problem, and it did. So i have matching bulbs but my lights don't match. Does the ballast still need burn time? Ive been driving for about a week and it doesn't seem to be getting anywhere as bright as my other light.

Is this ballast going bad too?
I also wanted to know if the ballast has anything to do with the lights being different and if it still needs burn time since it is USED.

Anyone know if getting an aftermarket HID set for 100$ would be a fine replacement?

you can trouble shoot, by switching ballast to the other side.
if problem follows ballast, then you know its ballast.

Such a simple suggestion..yet I never thought of it. I'll have to try that, thanks!

Any other things you could suggest if that doesn't show any difference? ( I can't check because I'm at school and about an hour away from home and any tools haha. )

Do the same for bulbs and ignitors.

if problem follows a certain bulb/ignitor/ballast; you've found your culprit.

I see your 2nd thread on the same subject.
I bought my HID kit from the TheRetrofitSource.com for my KIA.

its expensive; but I enjoy the fact that the kits are well made and wont leave me with flashing lights, broken ballast, etc.
Ive had no experience with HIDextra.
