HID Cutoff
My friends told me i was blinding them with my drivers side light.
So i put it in front of the garage to lower it. The cutoff sucks.
Everything is 100% OEM. I turned the bolt in the back of the housing. And it didnt focus the cutoff any better.
How can i get them to line up nicely?

hehe, Maybe the reflector is damaged or something. I'm not too sure, but the light output is a bit weird

i have a hard time trying to find out the problem.. if you look at the driver side.. up and down, it's about 10inches, but on the passengerside, it looks correct..
or maybe check the bulb...it may not be in place. Just an idea

With Projectors, if the bulbs not sitting in place, it messes up the output. So maybe it's the same with reflector housings

OK cool.
i drove around and it looks "ok", a little low. but ok.
then i pulled up at home, turned the lights off and my DRLs are REALLY off.
on the HID housing it says not to open it. I dont feel like breaking them or being shocked.![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Hey, how easy is it to adjust the headlight on the TL anyway.
Cuz my left side is a bit lower then the right side.
Which bolt I need to turn to adjust the headlight?

turn the one that requires a 10mm key.

its really easy to get to , but its a PITA to turn because there is a limited amount of space. if you have a ratchet key your job is 100x easier

Daym. your headlights are way off Id take the HID cover off and make sure the bulb is seated properly. Also look at your head lights. Is the reflector over the bulb straight?

With the bulb held in place by a spring clip against a flat surface (usually-not all cars)
- it seems odd that it would be out of place- but truth is often stranger than fiction!
On my 01 TL I found the easy way to adjust the lights- check your housing for V groove going down from the top to the adjuster cam gears
Take a phillips, + head screwdriver and slide down the V, it can then be turned directly across the gear teeth and headlight aim changes easily
After garage door aim, I drove and decided up a little more, then a little more- perfect for me now.
I replaced housings so had to reset headlights

I think your turning the wrong bolt, that looks like a ground to chassis bolt. The bolt you are looking for is directly behind the headlight and is silver. It is extremely difficult to take a pic of it b.c it's really in there.
