HELP Tailights wont indicate I'm Braking

My tailights do not indicate i am braking. I change the bulb and they do not power on when I press the brake. They power on only when i turn on the headlights. Someone help me, I bought new bulbs and they still wont turn on when i brake only when the headlights are on. ALso the middle brake on the back glass does work. Im afraid someone is going to hit me up the ass because they cannot tell im braking. I dont want to get pull over as well

Guys give me some ideas of what it might be

Did you replace the brake lamps with dual filament bulbs? Make sure you've used the correct bulb for BRAKE lights, and not TAIL LIGHTS... both require different bulbs (eg: they illuminate when turned on, and also appear brighter when the brakes are applied VS. bulbs that simply illuminate when the lights are turned on).

If your tail lights and your center brake light are not working, check the fuse.

Sounds like it's just the tails.

it might be your brakelight switch near the brake pedal.

Did they work properly before you starting changing all the bulbs? And why did you change the bulbs? What bulb did you get?

they were not working therefore i bought new bulbs thinking that was the problem. I changed all 4 bulbs. And the bulb number was 7443 for all 4. That was the number each bulb had when i took them out. I painted my brake caliper last week but i know that has nothing to do with it. I really dont know why is it doing this. ill keep u guys posted im going to my fathers shop tomorrow and try to figure out wat is going on
