The maintenance light is flashing during start up and clears after a few seconds.... what does this mean? I mean i know what it means but is that how the light works? Or is it gonna light up while driving? ALso, I have noticed sometime while starting the car it will feel like the car is choking.... it doesnt die but it feels like its not goin great either except when i give it gas then it stabilizes... lol... im planning to bring it for the 90k service at acura anyway... just need input since 600 dollars is a load of money.... thanks

 

If you have not done the maintenance and will flashes for a few seconds when you start your car, and it will stay on after you drive 1000 miles (maybe) more without the recommended maintenance. You can turn it off by yourself by following the manu though.

 

Read your manual. That light is nothing more than a dummy light and means nothing more than its time to change your oil (when reset at the oil change) Its preset to start blinking then go on steady at 7500 miles (thats the factory recommended change interval, not 3k) and there is no way to change it.

how bout that choking feeling? is that because of the winter? i havent stalled or anything and will go do a full tune up soon with acura since i just reached 90k whats ur input and thanks for the light clarification

 

Hold down Select and reset, then turn ignition to II. Hold for about 10 secs and the blinking goes away.

Try to clean ur fuel injectors, after I changed my injectors to rcs, my car didn't choke on the start anymore.
