Headlights-low beam

Hey anyone have an idea why the Passenger Side Headlight is turning slightly purple? The Driver side is ok but flickers everso slightly... Should I change the bulbs out? Does it matter if its GE D2R vs Sylvania?

ballest going out for passenger side

do you mean flickers turning on, or while on (it is the ballast creating voltage which is NOT perfectly smooth [think ignition coil, just alot lower voltage], but should not be noticeable though)

I would try the bulbs first.

You can get bulbs on eBay for $50 shipped.

Get Phillips or Kaixen.

If those do not fix the problem then it is the ballast. The ballast costs about $160 each so hope and pray that it is just the bulbs. I am pretty sure that it is the bulbs though.

Unhappy

Just want to say thanks first and foremost.
The driver side it stays on but you notice it flickers really really slightly. Sometimes when you just click to turn on the HighBeams it shuts off but when you reset its normal. Now the Passenger side it just shade of purple... Any good websites for the bulbs. I found a GE pair on EBAY 70buck but you don't suggest GE? Or should I bite the dust and order OEM SYLVANIA?

Get these.

If you get those then you have to put 2 in the quantity. Those are the best bulbs available IMO.

Well running the low beams then say click the high beams on it shuts off the low beam... But when you shut off the headlights and turn back on, its normal. Worked good for a long time, I want to complain but I guess I cant..
