Headlight discolor?

Hey guys,
Question? My passenger head light turns to a pinkish color. I was wondering if it was the head light that is going to blow out or if the blaster was busted?
please help! Thanks...

To check the ballast, switch the bulbs and see if the pink goes away (Put good bulb where pink one is now).

Likely it does and you need new bulbs
Yes you need to replace 2 at once to maintain equal output and color.
Vendor Excelerate has some bulbs for much less than OEM$$

Major parts are ballast and ignitor
Blaster

Yes, you likely have a bulb that's just getting old. Try the bulb swap test mentioned by pmptx.

Stick with 4300K bulbs unless you want to sacrifice illumination for color.

You can sometimes find good deals on bulbs on eBay. I bought a pair of brand new Philips 4300K D2R bulbs on eBay for less than $70 shipped. (Watch out for used bulbs.)

Is it not safe for the blaster to switch to different bulb color?

Fixed.

It is safe but if you change bulbs. If you do change them, go with either Kaixen or Phillips and don't go higher than 6000K

Sounds like the bulb is getting ready to quit. That happened to mine, and within a week or so it was out completely.
