I went 125K on my original timing belt. Keep in mind, it is very difficult to tell (visually) that a timing belt is good. They may think it looks good but you never know when it will go.
If you can afford to replace the engine, go for it. If not, spend the cash and get it done.

i always tell people for timing belts, specially rubber ones, its based on age not mileage. the rubber starts to break up at a point of age, so imo i go 6yrs/unlt mileage...technically u shoulda changed it at 100k but with age i was able to go with 135k on my 02 with it...changed it as soon as got the money..
I would be more concerned with the age of the belt way more than miles. Seeing these cars in some cases are over 10 years old and rubber doesnt age well. As for mileage, yes i had 200k Miles not KM on mine. BUT that was only 6 years of age on the belt. Its in your best interest to probably have it changed sooner than later. Especially if you live in a climate with extremes.
guys i got reasonably decent and busy shops asking for 550 for the whole timing belt and water pump change. but would i hv to be worry about it because they are not putting a oem timming belt and had i taken to acura they wud have?

if your changing the belt and nothing else.. thats great! lol
might as well change the water pump and anything else down there that can go bad while your tearing things apart.

I didn't hit 100K until the car was maybe 7 years old.
where in canada are you? toronto? for parts, torontohonda has the best price, and contact 360 auto for pricing on the job...i did everything +more for around 650...bought all the stuff myself.
i have never actually done this service myself (3k miles to go
) but it seems from the words of others that it is a VERY good idea to change other components such as the tensioner, water pump, etc during the 105k service...relatively cheap parts that can make or break your ass in the end.
as i am not an acura tech and haven't had any experience either way, you are welcome to take my words with a grain of salt, but please at least look into those things before you commit to a deal that seems good but screws you over long term
