Find a 4 speed tranny and install a cooler with inline filter done deal.
Or you try cleaning the solenoids and change out the ATF with Honda ATF DW-1
Correct. My Max was rusting so badly, it was no where to jack it up at besides using part of the suspension, don't even get me started on how badly rusted the lower radiator support was! I cleaned the solenoids again yesterday and so far so good. Im gonna do an 3X3 with Honda fluid this weekend.

I was thinking of going to the scrap yard and get another solenoid since I got it for cheap, any advice on what should I do next? please.
Are you checking it after driving it, fully warmed up, with the car off?

Yes, I checked 2 times today and 3 times yesterday, the fluid level is pretty red and right in the middle (above the first dot and right below the second dot). Just took a trip to Indiana and the car drove and shifted perfect. The steering is kina heavy compared to the Maxima, so its kina hard keeping it from swerving out of my lane at highway speeds. But the TL has a very tight turning radius which is great, especially compared to the wide turning radius of the Max.

Wow, really? I've never driven another car with a worse turning radius than my TL.

Lol, we'll drive a Maxima made from 2000-2003 and you would think very different of the TL's turning abilities! The TL is 200lbs heavier than the Max and yet it's just as light on its feet. And I didn't know the TL was only a SOHC motor until I searched a couple days ago! Faster and smoother than the VQ30. Transmission is still shifting good knock on wood. It's a great car so far. But I need spark plugs bad!!! When I changed the plugs on the Max, the car shifted quicker with way less delay, so it should be the same with TL. I don't believe they been changed, I just hit a little over 107k. It isn't fun maintaining a Acura on a budget.

TL's use coil packs/ignition coils not plugs.
$80 a pop up here, do a scan, & figure out which one (s) need replacing.
You could also just do the hand test, & unplug them 1 by 1 to see if the revs drop.

What do you think the coil packs are attached to? And what does Mazda have to do with Nissan?

Hah, wow. True story: Before the TL I had a Mitsubishi Lancer. About a week after getting the TL I was pulling into a parking spot (admittedly, a bit too quickly) and I cranked the wheel all the way over and was totally surprised to find it stopped way earlier than I thought it would (being used to the Lancer) and tagged the rear bumper of the car in the next space over since I was expecting to turn a lot sharper.

It isn't fun maintaining a Acura on a budget.
Well, hopefully once you get everything taken care of it will be smooth sailing

My bad I was thinking of the Mazda 6, forgot it was a Maxima. Lol
Thoiboi's got it.
I was just stating the obvious since this guy is new to TL's, & wants to do a "budget" repair.
It's not as simple as your typicall "plugs, & wires" found on most early hondas.($80 total over $80 per coil)

WOW what is going on in here? Plugs as in spark plugs. If im not mistaken, most if not all cars use spark plugs.
