Gas pedal not working at times
I have what I think is a very strange issue. When I first start up my '01 TL, the gas pedal works fine at first, then within a few seconds, it fails to work at all; it is as if the engine is not even on, yet it is running. It will go back and forth between working and not working within about the first half minute of being turned on, then it will usually work fine. I changed all the spark plugs out this weekend, but the issue remains as it was. I am pretty baffled about this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

After I start it up, I hit the gas and it revs the engine as normal. Within a few seconds, pressing on the gas pedal fails to rev the engine at all; it is as if the engine is not even running, yet it is running. It does absolutely nothing at all. That lasts for just a few seconds, then it works as normal. Sometimes that process will occur again immediately afterward, but within a few seconds it operates as normal.

Sounds like the throttle plate is sticking.
With the engine running and in park, pop the hood and look at the back of the throttle body for movement while someome steps on the gas. You should see a brass gear turning everytime they step on the gas. If it doesn't move, it's because the throttle plate is stuck.

Looking at my diagram, find part 1 (right side of image). Now just to the left of that is the throttle body.
Standing in front of the car look on the back side of it for two cables going into it. Those are the throttle cables. Make sure they are moving freely when someone presses on the accelerator.
