gas overflow
at the last 3 gas stations i've gone to, after the pump clicks off there is massive overflow of gas out of the filler pipe. it gets all over the side of the car and i'm worried that it's going to kill my wax job. i really hope this isn't the case, but is there any chance i'm putting the nozzle in wrong? i mean i stick it in as far as it will go (that's what she said) and then pump...i never try to fill it once it clicks off...what else could be causing this?
I haven't heard of this happening with any Acuras, but for other cars / trucks, this problem has usually been solved by replacing the fuel tank - I think in most cases, the source of the problem was a faulty valve in the fuel tank.
Maybe wait for others to chime in before you go this route....
wtf this just happened to my tsx today! i was filling up the tank, and as it was getting to about 11 gallons or so, i heard it gargle a little bit and then i took it out, and gas was overflowing from my tank...i probably had a half gallon or more spill all over. it never clicked. i went home and tried to wash it off about an hour after it happened, and it took forever to come off...
has that happened to anyone else? is it going to wreck my paint, and is there a problem with my gas tank?

No it won't wreck your paint I don't think if you get it off quick enough.
It could however damage the charcoal filter in the tank. I had all sorts of problems with that and it caused me a lot of grief just because I wanted to top off my tank. For the last 3-4 years, when the pump clicks the first time, I do not put any more in.
It could be a defective pump, but I doubt it. Perhaps it's the way you are holding the pump? I don't know what it could be. I guess just pay a little more attention to it, and when you start to hear the gas rising in the tank, stop pumping.
