Exclamation Funny Redish Headlight, help!

I have a 03 type S and i started have driver side head light problems. when it first started happening, i would turn the lights on and the light would power on, start buring blue, then all of the sudden start burning red! It done this for about a while, called a lot of acura dealers, they dont know squat! Then the light just completly turned off. I tried turning them off then on again, and for the first SECOND after I turn them on, the light flickers like it wants to come on, then just quits!

Plz help!

sounds like a bad bulb. You should swap the bulb from the good side to that side, if it works fine after switching its time to order 2 new bulbs.

You think so? I have had mixed opinions. But I have had more people tell me the bulb was bad, the rest of the people say the inverter(???). I dont know if that is wut it is called. But the dealer has absolutly no idea wut it is! I wanted me to pay the 90 bucks for a diag test and then 50 bucks an hours to tear it all apart JUST TO TO TELL ME WUT IS WRONG. LOL

I really appreciate the help! Now I need to find the bulbs. I want to stay stock cuz they were a nice blue and bright as hell. But wut is stock? How can i find a good CHEAP price? And just wondering, is there any bulb that may be brighter or blu-er? Sry guys i am new to this! Had my TL Type S for almost 2 yrs and it is falling apart on me. Driver heated seat is out, the top center console latch is broke(flaps up and down), seems that the motors on the seats is going out. It is drving me crazy to see my car fall apart with crap i cant control!!!!

The stock bulb is a 4300K D2R.

You can find a pair of brand new D2R bulbs for well under $100 if you search around a bit. (A pair will run $200 or more through most Acura dealers).

I bought a pair of new Philips 4300K D2R bulbs for $68.49 shipped via eBay.

You can get an increase in the blue color by selecting a bulb with a higher Kelvin or K value. But you will lose visibility on the road. Personally, I wouldn't install anything but 4300K bulbs.

On your center console's hinged doors, you may be able to fix them by removing the assembly and adjusting the plastic gears. The doors on my Tl wouldn'y latch closed and I was able to fix it by adjusting the gears.

Like i aid, swap the bulb from the good side to the bad and see if it works over there. If it does you know the problem is just the bulb. If it doesnt, then you know its the inverter.

And No, there isnt a brighter bulb. You can get bluer but the higher in K you go the less useable light you will have. Stick with the stock 4300
