Exclamation funny nosie :(

So I pulled into someones driveway to turn around and as I started backing out I saw a car coming so I threw it out of reserve into drive and gave her and now there is a funny noise coming from the left side of the wheel it sounds like like my breaks might be rubbing if I incrase my speed you hear it more than when I am driving slow. Does anyone know what this could be? I really hope nothing serious.

sounds like the brake pad warning squeeler is touching the rotor to warn you!
Its time for a real inspection with wheels off and calipers removed- inspect the pads and rotors-
You often hear it more when reversing and use the brakes lightly
Try it forward too. very low speed, windows open, use the brakes lightly
Its a metal arm that extends from the pad to the minimum thickness allowed on the pads- then it touches the rotor and makes noise to alert you of its needs

Would you hear this all the time when you are driving? I hear it more when I am driving slow but when I am at 80KM/H I can still here it. Makes sense though I could tell my breaks needed to be replaced soon

Hope that is what it is

***Update*** As I was just driving home from the girlfriends I turned my car on waiting to hear the noise and it didn't make it at all the whole drive home. I hate things like this

Take off the wheels and check the brake linings, front and rear.
