Unhappy Fog in headlights

Whats up guys, I noticed today for the first time that there is some fogging going on in both my headlights. I never had them open, I have no idea what could be causing this. I am thinking about just opening them clearing them, and then sealing them back up. Does anyone know why this is happening? Let me know what you guys think? Also this little fogging issue will it damage my lights, I dont want anything internal messing up.

yeah you definitely need to clear those lights out before they get damaged. if they're not under warranty then you will find plenty of info on here about d.i.y.. not hard to do, you just need to be do it slowly and meticulously.

Hmm once the moisture gets in the headlight you have more chances of blowing the ballast (harder to replace than the bulb) than the bulb so clear them asap. Don't, for the sake of all thats holy, use regular silicone to seal them, look into my thread on sealing headlights for help on that, good luck. And as others said, do it asap before u have a blown ballast along with foggy headlights.

So Fly, did this work for you? I know this is an old thread, but I'm considering doing this and was wondering what kind of results you had.
