Flickering Headlight

Okay, Well I'm new to Acurazine, Just to let you guys know so.. Please don't bite. Yesterday me and my friends were driving to the beach, they were in their car I was in mine, when I was behind them I turned my headlights on as I saw a sign that said "lights on for safety" So I listened..I didn't realize it but my friends did, once we stopped somewhere I looked at it and it seems as though only the left headlight was working and the right one wasn't turning on, all it was doing was flickering. Does anybody know whats wrong?

It could be your bulb or ballast. Swap the bulb from the working side to the non working side and see if it works. If it does you need new bulbs (2. ALWAYS replace HIDs in pairs) If not it is probably the ballast.

Is there possibly a thread that would show me how to replace the bulbs and/or ballasts?

the low beams are HID systems with ballast--high power stuff!!!

high beams are plain ol 9005 halogen filled bulbs you get at parts store- sylvania silverstars are good choice... in my experience

flikkering light is often ballast death warning
bulbs usually give a pink tint at startup when dying from just age wearout

was/is there moisture inside the headlight housing lens?
that drips onto the ballast and kills it!!

I would buy an entire kit here-easy diy install
D2R is what one we need, 5k color is good choice for bulbs
www.hidextra.com they are members here and good people- quality product several of us have recently had to install,
Seems to be that age for the cars to need new lighting parts

1 kit order = 2 of each needed part= ballast-ignitor (connector wire) and new bulbs for both sides.. to be done at once
ck online for coupons search for hidextra.com + coupons 10% ones are valid now

diy master list--keep in favorites for constant use!

There was no moisture in my headlight housing, I'll start looking into buying all that once I get my new brake discs in.
