factory alarm - no 'beep!' when pushing lock twice
Hey all,
I been trying to see if there were any solutions to a problem I been recently having. It's not so much a problem, but more of an inconvenience.
After getting my car back from the body shop, I noticed that when I lock the doors w/ the remote, I get the usual doors locking when i push remote once; but when I push the lock button the second time, I don't get the usual 'beep' nor the lights flashing once.
I tried holding the lock/trunk button simultaneously, but didn't work. None of the fuses are blown. And when I unlock, the lights flash twice (as normal). Unfortunately, I can't locate my other remote. I'm the original owner of a 2002 TLS.
Any suggestions on how to correct this, to get back to factory settings? I just like to know the doors are locked and i can hear the beep, just for my own satisfaction. Thanks in advance!

Hey Mastini,
Yeah, I would suspect that it was probably something to do w/ the body shop, but they worked on the driver's side. Maybe I'll still try and take it in.

Hey GFaze,
Someone hit & run my car again (3rd time in 1.5 years), so just taking out the dents, scratches, paint job. All on driver's side - side panel, rear bumper. I can't find my other remote, but I don't think this is really the problem, since my original remote (w/ original battery) still works for opening the door and locking door.

Mine does the same thing. I haven't been able to fix it yet, too damn cold out. I remember reading some where that the front hood switch could be the culprit.
