Engine_Problems_Cyclinder Not firing

Hi ..

My car is Acura Interga RSX 2000 - VeTec engine- I know this is
not an Intergara group- but I dont know where else I could go

The issue is a problem with my engine: one cyclinde has no
compression- The mechinaic says I may need a new engine $$$$...

However, I had the Dealer rebuilt the Engine about in May 2005- its
been running fine. The dealer said its really hard to trash these engines.

I am asking for some suggestions in regards to this matter.. because
I dont want to buy a new VeTec Engine for my Car...

Thank you,

Darryl

If you don't trust your mechanic, take it somewhere else for a second opinion.

Why not take it to the dealer that rebuilt the engine?

Good Luck.

Bob

BTW: It's "VTEC"

Its hard to kill any honda motors. No compression in a cylinder could be a couple of things ie blown head gasket, piston rings, hole in piston, valve not closing, etc. I would take it back to the dealer where you got your motor rebuild in 2005 and ask them whats going on.

It could be any of the things listed here. I would bring it to the place that rebuilt it and have them look at it.

So you have a JDM RSX (did not make the rsx in 2k)? Or did you mean gsr or type r?

Not that it matters what car you have.
