Engine running really rough.... help me out please

A few weeks ago my check engine light came on, i ignored it and it went off after a day or two. Then about 2 weeks later it came back on and a few days after that my car all of sudden started running very rough. I dropped it off to my mechanic today and last i heard from him, he said he hadn't figured out the problem yet but when hooked up the the computer it showed 4 misses and the spark plugs seemed very hot. I have no idea what to think.... anyone have any idea what it is?

Have you changed your spark plugs?

I had a similar problem once, I checked my spark plugs, and found out one of my spark plugs had the center electrode was broken, fortunately I had platinum BOSH +2 and the two external electrodes were holding the loose broken part. Changed it. Reset ECU and no more Check Engine light and car running fine.

I have no clue... this is all coming from what my mechanic told me. He just said 4 misses which im assuming is 4 cylenders misfiring and that the plugs were hot. He never called me back at the end of the day so im gonna stop by and see whats up tommorow.

You most likely have 1 coil pack going bad.
