I just installed new NGK Iridium IX spark plugs about a hour ago as well as changed my oil.

My check engine light was on before i replaced spark plugs. I drove down the block, and noticed that the check engine light started to blink...and that the idle was really shaky.

What could cause this problem?

I have to fix this fast as i can, because I am going back to college.

 

Get the codes pulled and tell us what they are.

But I'd say you probably damaged one or more coil packs when you changed the plugs.

 

Yeah it's a coil pack check to see which cylinder is misdiring and change that coil! The cylinders fire 1-4-2-5-3-6 so if you have misfires in cylinders 2-5-3 then change coil pack 2 and problem solved!!

 

I rechecked spark plugs to see if they were fully tightened...and 3 of them had at least .5-1 more turn to tight. Problem solved!
