Eastern and Catco converters

Thinking of changing my cat but wanted a 2nd opinion on the Eastern brand and Catco brand. Anyone ever use either of these 2? Any issues? Please let me know. Thanks.

Are you trying to gain performance, or do you have a driveability or check engine light problem? There are different solutions depending on your answer.

CEL problem. 2 o2 changed. EGR ports cleaned out and manifold removed and cleaned with port hole sleeve installed. Still a P0420 showing on the scanner.

Will a Type-S cat be compatible with a 99?

I'm fairly sure you would have to modify the mounting holes in the rear flange to make it work. To put a tlp convertor on a tls, you have to elongate the mounting holes outward. I'm guessing it would work the other way. If you're looking for a cheap way to keep the light off, check into a spark plug non fouler to space the rear o2 out a bit. I think excelerate has ones that fit without modification.
