Duralast and battery cover
I replaced the factory battery with a gold top Duralast battery a few months back and I'm just getting around to putting the battery cover back on, have anyone else had a problem with putting the cover back on with a gold Duralast battery? Because I'm having a hard time fitting it back on. Thanks

the replacement battery is probably a slightly larger ~group~ number- thats how they define size and shape- group 24 - 27 etc. They both `fit` and stock is often the cheapest thing they could put in.
First check if the cables are in the slots made for them on the side of the box,
if everything is clear and lined up but the cover wont go low enough- put it on a shelf in the garage.
Make SURE the POS red + terminal is completely covered by the plastic cap,
it protects the electrical system from shorting out if the hood ever came into contact with it, like if you rolled the car--
at which point - that will be the least of YOUR concerns, but a major issue to the Rescue crew
Its fine to run without the cover, battery runs cooler, and allows bigger batteries for stereo setups.
Check it out- good luck!

Yea/mine doesn't fit either since getting a new battery. I had to cut a few pieces off of the underside of the cover to make it slip over the battery. Still doesn't fit right.
