My 2000 TL driver's seat back is wearing through the leather. I think the air bag is in the general area that's worn from getting in and out the door side. Has anyone had any luck with an upholstery shop repairing the side of the seat back ? Is it possible to order an "oem" replacement leather cover for the seat back ? Anybody have a good tan colored leather driver's side seatback cover that you could sell to me ? Thanks for any helpful advice !

 

You may consider going to your local salvage yard and see if you can pick one up for $50. It probably is the cheapest option. Upholstery is pretty pricey.

 

Yeah I had to get all new seats. I couldn't find any in my color so I found a guy down south selling a whole set of black seats from a 99 tl with only 30000 miles before it was totaled. It looked brand new and I just had to have the leather swapped on the two front seats because the 99 tl didn't have side air bags
