Driver Seat Recline Inop

What's the easiest way to test if it's a bad switch or a bad motor? The forward/backward/up/down all works, just the recline is inop.
Thanks

Sounds like your switch is fine if the motor is making noise.
Mine doesn't do anything.

My seat is the same and I am trying to fix it. Same noise but nothing reclining. I am guessing it's the motor problem, but how did you guys get it fix?

Haven't had the time/$$$ to get into i yet, more important things come first.
Luckily, it's stuck in a comfortable position.
