Cool Driver Seat Creaking

I just picked up this 03 3.2TL for a great deal w/ 50k miles on it. I figured it'd be a great car...it seems like the problems might be starting..

About a week after picking it up, the seat started creaking, and it moves as if the bolts are loose to the floor..but I checked them, they're all tight. It's gotta be moving on the track to some exent..i really have no idea.

Any ideas on a fix/solution..the creaking is killing me..I want to fix it b/c I do like the car...

The creaking is coming from where your seatbelt fastens on the right side of the seat. (between seat and center console) Spray a LITTLE WD40 on the bolt where it pivots.

I did exactly that when it first started happening...just did it again..and it got rid of the creaking for the meantime...but the whole seat is pivoting on that axis it seems

Maybe the tracks are bent or loose. You checked all the bolts? Try removing the seat and looking underneath it for anything.

Yes, you will have to remove the seat to tighten all of the bolts. Mine does/did this too. I had a dealer tighten them once when the car was under warrenty.
Just be careful not to scratch any trim when removing the seat!

this has happened to quite a few tls, so i've noticed. It does it to me too, and its a bitch to have the whole seat rock foreward when i stop a little hard.

Update. I just rasied the seat all the way up, put a towel down on the floor and sprayed every bolt under the seat with WD-40, then moved the seat around in every position imagineable and voila! problem solved.

WD-40 at the belt fastner and on each side of the seat (behind the plastic side guards) and you should be good to go..
