Dome Lights wont turn off!

I went to replace a map light and ended up blowing a fuse (what i thought). Turns out i did and i replaced the fuse with the correct 7.5A. Now when i lock the car, the dome light wont turn off and when i open the door, the light flickers and the power is not constant, only when in the door position.

When i turn the dial to on, the dome current is strong and doesnt flicker. When i turn it back to auto, the light flickers and stays on when the car is locked. Why is the light not dimming? Any help?

the problem could be in the actual dome housing itself then. I'd take it down and inspect it to make sure nothing is touching.

try putting back the regular bulbs and see if its ok. Could be the resistor on the LED bulbs. Try putting the LED bulb elsewhere and see if it make any problem on other location.

so with a new (oem style) bulb it does the same? Flickers and never goes off? Its possible you have a multiplex(fuse panel) issue.

Try unplugging all your door pins and see if that causes it to go off.

Ill try that, just curious, which ones are the door pins.

I just tried to replace a map light while the door was open. Then before you know it the lights go out.

Ok, took a look at the fuse panel. Is it the 4 fuses that are 20A and labeled P/W for each of the doors?

i read a post with a guy who had the same problem and had to replace his fuse module for $300. Is there any alternative to get my fuse model working normally again?

^what did you try? All i really did to the fuse box was replace the 7.5A fuse. Any other suggestions? Should i be checking for any other fuses that blew out?

UNPlug the door pin switches. See if the lights go off. If not its probably the multiplex. There is NO reason not to try to get one used, just buy it from a salvage yard that has something like a 30 day warranty that way if it doesnt work you can give it back.

be carefull when getting a used mulitplex if it is bad youll f up your computer thats what happend to me. I was lucky that some how it was still under warrenty. or that would be $1300. To be safe I suggest you go to the dealer or a shop that deals with car electronics to get it looked at.
