Was doing a mod but dome light wont turn off in the middle position. Blew a fuse after smelling a burning smell,replaced fuse but if the light still works it has to be something else, I dont know if I need a new harness box or what, can some one help,, want to fix it before the CanAm meet.

 

Little more info on this mod that caused the problem?

 

Sorry I was doing the door led from the DIY threead I had 3 working, finished the 4th when smelled the odour from the harness area

 

you might want to inspect the wiring. Take the light down and look at the switch too.

 

I did all that I disconnected it from the passenger side harness, it goes off, i cant figure it out, you know when you have the door open and push in the door sensor the dome light flickers a bit, well it doesn't any more. by the way if one door is open does the other door marker come on or stay off?

 

Does any one have any Ideas?

 

Only the door that is open has its lower marker come on.
