Just wondering if anyone has ever tried using the D2S bulbs as a repalcement for the D2R ones. Mine went out and i just upgraded the D2S on my other car and wanted to if i can use the D2S thanks

 

The housings on each dont quite match. You can cut a notch to make them work or you can go to the black market and buy some Kaixen D2C which have 2 notches, one for the R, and one for the S, making them C ompatible with both. Not to mention they are a good bulb. If you want the best light, get the closest to 4300 that you can (5000k), if you want color, well, choose according to your preference (higher number equals more blue) but be warned you lose light output the higher you go.

 

By the way, the D2C i am taliking about doesn't have any ceramic on it, just like your D2S

That is the thread I purchased mine from, but you can try to buy them used if you wish. On that page you will see some pics of my install, just to notice difference between output as well as bulbs. Good luck
