I went to the dealer today to get my usual oil change and to check my engine light estimate. The guy comes in the lobby and tells me what was wrong with my engine light coming on. He said,"you need a new catalytic converter and front and side engine mount replacement. The catalytic cost $870, front mount cost $360 and side mount $175. Am i being ripped off? Does this come under warranty?

 

depending on your mileage the cat might. the motor mounts you are getting ripped of on. You can get the both of them new oem for under 150 for both

1) Have AutoZone or a local auto parts store read the check engine code and report back to us with it.

If it is the cat, have it replaced at a muffler shop like Midas or Meineke. If they use a non-OEM cat it'll save you a bunch of money.
