I have had my car battery go completely dead 3 times in this month. I know for a fact it's not the battery I bought a new one yesterday installed it drove it this morning then after it sat for 8 hours no lights no crank nothing. Has anyone had this problem or a solution. Car drove fine with no problems for 2 years and all of a sudden has this issue, any help is good help thanks.

You have something draining your battery. You're going to have to do a parasitic draw test to see what it is

Okay so it looked like the A/C condenser was the problem, I replaced the Relay two nights ago and woke up to a dead battery this morning is there something else I should try?

how long did you drive? Could be your alternator is bad and you were just running on battery power until it was depleted.

my alternator is fine it's making 14.3 volts and charges the battery up fine, there is a large draw when the car is off though

have you isolated the circuit causing the draw?

doing the parasitic draw test I found the fan condenser was drawing the power, I replaced the relay and checked the fuse. Still my battery died over night. I now believe it might by a tempature sensor or the fan control unit? Also noticed while driving today even with A/C all the way off extremely cold air seems to drift from the vents inside the car.

You replaced the relay but was there still a parasitic draw on that circuit? It could be the actual condenser itself and not the relay that's malfunctioning.

Also the latter part you describe is normal. Click on Recirculation if you want zero air.

replacing the relay brought the drain from 300mAmp to 32mAmps which should be fine. Yet my battery still drained over night which confused me. I'm uncertain if the fan turns on latter and drains it then but it's looks fine during when I test it.

Can you throw the battery on a charger/tester to make sure the drain on the battery didn't put it on life support. How old is said battery by the way?

less then a week old because I was concerned the old battery was the problem, it's at 85% right now on my trickle charger

Did you check all the fuse under the dash as well?

I've got a huge draw (12 Amps) on my battery with the car off. Went through all the fuses and couldn't find the culprit. Has anyone run into a short within the alternator or starter? Those are the only ideas we've come up with at this point. Can anyone think of something we may have missed while testing?

Thanks.

That IS a huge draw. Disconnect the starter and alternator one at a time and see.
