so i just received my kit in the mail yesterday. plug in everything. when it's all said and done, one side works, other side doesn't. left side is the one with the problem. plugged everything in correctly and made sure connection was secure, still no power to ballast. i plug back in my old halogen bulbs and it works (so i know it's not the wiring issue). i then switch the lights from the left side to the side that works, and it works, (so i know it's not a bulb problem). what's going on ? i don't seem to get it ..

bad thing was i made a long ass drive down to san diego (2 hour 30 drive) just to exchange for a new ballast .. came home .. installed it .. and it still wouldn't power up .. so frustrating .. i don't wanna wait for them to mail out a new one .. cause who knows how long it will take ..

Did you try plugging in the connector that goes into the ballast the other way? I think it's called reversing the polarity.

^ yes i did. still didnt work. i just found out that only my right side lights up with no problems (there is power going from the fog light connector to the ballast). thats not the case for the left side. i just checked and both ballast and bulb work on the other side, just not the left. so im thinking its the left side wire that doesn't have enough power to power the ballast, (although my halogen bulbs do work with it).

nvm. crimped/rewired the foglight and it worked
