CV joints....

I am almost 99% sure that my CV joint is worn out or broken. I was in an accident about a month ago, and it started to make the popping noise when steering right after. it was a low speed accident (someone reversed into my front bumper, while i was in like waiting for gas) so the body shop i brought it to said that there was a chance the accident could have done it.

I told their secretary to make a note to have it checked, but she was blonde lol, its still popping. I'm gonna go try and see if they can check it one more time and confirm they did the work on it...but I was just wondering.....

Is it still cool to drive around town with bad cv joints?

and...

There is a quote at a sketchy gas station for $119. Anyone know what Acura or a decent body shop would cost? Anyone know if it is easy to replace yourself?

I don't think a bump from another car is going to cause CV joint problems.. haha.

But it's okay to drive with a bad CV until you get it fixed, just don't take too long.

its ok, but i wouldnt put it off. for the price others have been quoted 120 for the part (for a remanufactured part)
if your a intermediate DIYer you can change it your self.
