What light flickered? The light on the switch or the light on the dash saying cruise?

Well since it flickered maybe the switch is going bad?

Next time you try it take your foot and place it under the brake pedal and lift up and see if you can get the cruise to work. Its possible you have a brake switch failing causing the cruise to deactivate.

i will have to try it. i just had that switch replaced not too long ago. i realized the day after i got it none of my brake lights worked, so i took it to the dealership and they replaced it for me. its not a big deal really just have a lead foot and since i live in pretty much PO-VILLE, id cruise around without risking a ticket. ill have it looked at and c wats up. thanks for the help

I need to replace a plastic wheel on the throttle body shaft that holds the cruise control cable. Acura dealer says that i have to buy the assembly at $300, but he told me that he has seen TLs come in that have a metal replacement for this small simple part. Does anyone know about it?

I just posted because my cruise control cable used to be attached to a plastic wheel on the shaft of the throttle body. if you take the shroud off the top of the moter (it's only 4 bolts), Make sure that the cruise control cable, next to the throttle cable is attached to the plastic wheel that i am shopping for right now. Acura service also told me that the brake switch that dis-engages the cruise control goes bad and then won't allow the cruise to engage.

my cruise control does the same thing where the light just flickers once on the dash and doesn't engage...

anybody got pics of what this cable should look like and what its supposed to be attached to?

i will post pics of the plastic wheel soon. its easy to find. just follow your air intake to the throttle body, and you will see it. it looks like a black lever.

mine is still intact, and i followed the cable around the engine bay to a lil black box. took the cover off and is still intact there also. i followed the wires from there as far as i could and didnt see any damage to the wires either. just replaced the brake light switch, so i dont think it is that either since the brake lights still work. any opinions for us?
