ok heres the problem.
Ive recently installed a new head unit. and after i installed it, everytime i turn on my headlights at night my dash board goes blank. everything on the instrumentcluster goes out. I switched out the button to change the brightness of the dashlights and that does work. PLEASE HELP!!! I brought the car to a stereo place and they reinstalled the thing so i know now that it is installed properly. so i dont know what to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Well the cluster lights should be OFF when your headlight switch is fully OFF. The cluster lights would then turn on when you switch the headlight dial to the middle or ON position.

So are the cluster lights ON when the headlights are OFF? If so, it just seems like some wiring got reversed. Probably bad cluster.
