Check engine light blinking, car shaking

So I have this problem with my car that I'm trying to figure out what the issue is.

I already figure that I need to add/change my PS fluid but would that cause my car to shake?

Here is a video I took of the noise on my iphone:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2y...it?usp=sharing

I know it is hard to diagnose what the problem is just by a sound but any suggestions?

Many things can cause a car to "shake".

Try to be a little more descriptive of when & where it shakes......and someone may be able to assist ya better with the possible reasons why and perhaps how to fix the shaking problem you're presently experiencing.

I just a test and I am getting code P1399 which states there are multiple engine misfire.

So from what I read I may need to replace my spark plugs, coils or there could be some kind of leak?

If it is indeed a spark plug or coil how much would that run me usually?

Also it just shakes in general.

I was driving the car around when the check engine light came on then the next morning I went to leave my house and the car was shaking really bad when I was trying to drive it. Ever since then when the car idles it has a slight shake.

Not sure if this is even useful but I just moved to Oregon where it rains a lot. Maybe water got into something it shouldn't have?

it could be your spark plugs, could have a loose spark plug ,coils, fuel injectors and valves need adjustment
change the spark plugs and clear codes
if it comes back with a specific cylinder swap out coils with one next to it
if the miss fire moves to a different cylinder then most likely is that coil that is bad

Welcome to Acurazine!

Change out the spark plugs first. A lot of the people are using NGK iridiums. For about seven bucks a plug it`s a relatively inexpensive and easy DIY project. Start with that and hopefully your problem goes away. OEM ignition coils can get pricey especially if you have to replace more than one.

Note: Run a 1/2 can of seafoam through the vacuum lines or 1/2 can in the gas tank before you do the spark plugs.

P1399..... and shakin'

Hey MrEighty8, it appears as though your motor is shakin' due to the misfires. Start with replacing the old plugs with new NGK's. Clear the codes by pulling the clock back-up fuse located in the passenger side kickpanel. If the motor continues to run roughly and shake, then chances are that ya may have a bad coil or vac leak.

Try researching the "DIY" sticky or the many past posts on the subject for more assistance. 6 plugs @ $50, 1 coil @ $50 = $100 & your time.

Clean EGR passages ! what year TL do you have 99 or 2000-03 ? Its easy to do if it has the plate on the top of the engine while the 99 is much harder to do.

OK, update on my car. It was my engine that was misfiring. I replaced all the spark plugs with the manufacture plugs because the ones that I had were in there for a LONG time. In fact I don't think they ever have been changed.

Now this didn't solve my issue. I also had a bad coil that needed to be replaced.

With that being said my car runs fantastic now but on the other hand the $291 I spend to get it fixed wasn't so fantastic. (part of the deal when owning a car, I know).

Thanks for the replies, figured I would post my solution as it may help someone in the future.

2000 Acura 3.2 TL is my year, make and model.

Tbh with you I brought it to a reliable mechanic in the area. Which probably cost me a little more than I would have liked but I don't have any tools nor transportation to buy parts.

I am also not a "mechanic" nor claim to be one even though I have changed spark plugs in 93' BMW a few years ago. The coil + plugs might have been out of my knowledge level and expertise so I left it to someone that knows whats up.

If you're not able to "DIY", it still helps to understand the basics and common issues so ya don't get gouged by a shady shop.
As ya said......It's the price ya gotta pay at times when owning a used car !!! Good luck.

Totally understand. The place I went to was pretty open and up front plus fixed my ps whining & filled my tank without charging me.
