i just blew my first tranny at 121k and was wondering would it be cheaper to do a manual swap or just a new transmission?

all depends on where and how much searching you do, and if you go the type-s motor route or keep your motor and run modules(the later is cheaper). Also do you plan on doing labor? If not it wont be any where close to the same price. Honestly, read thru the 6 speed threads for more info.

That manual swap will be a major pain but I bet you like the car a lot more after doing it...

6spd ftw.
do u have a type s engine already?
are u doing the labor urself? if not. it will be cheaper to put a auto trans in.

also a lot depends on where u get ur parts.
