changing batteries

So I'm going to need to change batteries tomorrow and I have misplaced my radio codes.

Can I simply use my jumper cables to keep my car connected to power at all times? Thoughts? Potential issues?

you really should get your code. Yes you can but if it looses contact just a little bit with you trying to make room it will cause you to need your code.

Kris, I had it all in this folder in the office. Now I cannot find the code. The dealer wants $60 to pull the code for me.

The acura service on acura.com errors out when I request my code.

Thoughts?

A: remove radio and get serial number off back- take to dealer who looks up code by that
OR
use website that lets you enter VIN and $25 -- gives your code
saw it on here recently as that site does actually work

you can STORE your codes on your acura.com account- but unless the last owner did that- it cant retrieve them for you.
That system is for warranty and recall info- storing service info etc

Thanks Tom. Last owner doesnt seem to have stored it online I guess.

I will try searching this site for that website. $25 is reasonable, less costly then my time and travel.

Got the radio code starts with a B, it didn't need to be removed. A sticker was on the side of the radio. I've now combed over the car looking for the radio code with no luck.

I have to say, this is fairly ridiculous.

Nothing is open on a Sunday that can help me either.

Website to recover your codes for free - https://radio-navicode.honda.com/

you will need your vin, phone number, zip, and serials for radio and/or nav.

I spent 40 minutes on this site looking, google proved to be faster. It was the first think that popped up.

Enjoy all of you.
