change transmission fluid w/ jet kit installed

Quick question. I did some searching on here but still a little confuse. What do you have to if you have a jet ski installed as the result of the recall? How many bolts do you have to drain? Without the jet kit...only drain the ATF bolt, right?

On my '02 type S, there's the fill plug (you'll need a 17mm socket and a pretty long extension and a breaker bar to get it loose....then there's the drain plug that just uses a 3/8" drive ratchet. And my trans has the jet kit added due to the recall....

still the same single drain bolt. As for to fill it its one bolt, then pull straight up on the oiljet to get access to the filler hole. You wont hurt the oiljet and you cant install it wrong.

Does this oiljet resemble a nitrous oxide nozzle of sorts that would normally go where the fill plug is?

If you have a small funnel and an extra 5 minutes then just refill the A/T fluid from the
dip stick hole ..

Why waste the time to do it that way when 1 simple bolt to remove and you can fill it easily???

If you've had the transmission replaced, you won't have the jet kit. The new replacement units have the oil jet internally.

Is there any way to check if it's a replaced trans? All the dealer told me was that any and all recalls were fixed when the previous owners had possession of the car....

Usually the dealer can tell you. They do have a database of all warranty work performed I believe.

I did shop for a used 03 TL-S at one point and the dealer told me that he was able to see that the transmission had not been replaced and the oil jet kit had been installed.

You can see if the oil jet has truly been installed by checking the VIN strip...I think if the recall is done something gets "punched out?"

If the recall was done and the oil jet is missing, I'm 99% sure that the transmission has been replaced.
