Luckily for you, I had this one bookmarked, because I need to get around to fixing mine. Hope this is what you were looking for.

It's not the cupholder cover, it's the center console in between the seats that keeps popping open.

Actually, mine kept doing the same thing but I slid the top off the thing that lifts it up and then put it back down with the metal thing flipped up. Don't know if that makes sense but I can take a picture if you like. I need to take it to Acura, but I'm not ready to shell out the cash yet.

I'll keep checking back on this post for an answer, but if you find another way, make a DIY or PM me and tell me how you did it, because I would like to try and fix before taking to dealership. It also sounds like it might be a common problem after a while, so a post with directions would be nice for everyone else that this happens to.

if youre talking about the arm rest, i had that problem when i bought my tl. you gotta buy the 2 black plastic "teeth" that close the arm rest. the top one is like $25 and the bottom is like $7. try buying 1 at a time incase only 1 went bad. for me the top one was bent out of shape so it wouldnt stay shut unless i slammed it

First look to see if all the screws that hold the armrest and lock are inplace and tight. If they are i would do like bangumandoo said and buy the latch that you need. Its a simple thing to replace, just a few screws
