Center Console Cover

Hi there newly here I own a 2002 Acura TL type S. The center console cover keeps popping up and its driving me nuts. It seems that the plastic latch does not stay fastened. Does anyone know how to fix/resolve this issue without buying a whole new unit? Thanks in advance!!

The screws probably fell out. Open up the top part and look for the screws. A little locktite is helpful to keep them from falling out again.

^ agree. Look to see if all the screws are in place. If they are then the latch itself may be worn out. You can buy just the latch piece.

I have the same problem. I ordered a new latch for mine since I checked and all the screws were there.

My screws continually worked their way lose. After tightening them/all was well. They actually loosened so much they fell out. But perhaps your latch is bad.
