CEL & TCS both on, engine vibrates @ idle.
Drove home, no problems...parked the car and started it this morning.
Within the first few minutes, the CEL & TCS lights came on and the
engine started running rough, real rough.
I loaned my scanner tool to my sister last week so she can reset her
CEL after replacing the O2 sensor so I am unable to pull codes and for
the life of me, I do not remember how to do it with a jumper at the OBD
terminal.
I tried looking for which pins to jumper here but ran in to a thread with
symptoms like mine, turned out to be a bad coil. I suspected this right from
the start but still, I'd like the plethora of codes to confirm.
Which pins should I jumper to initiate the CEL flashing?

Not aware of any pins to jump. Need a scan tool Go to your local auto parts store, they read them for free (as long as you dont live in the great state of californication)

You read my mind, Autozone loans them with a $150 deposit.
Since the light flashes sometimes, I do not want to drive it there
for them to scan it.
If it is a coil, as I suspect, would unplugging them one at a time
be a shade-tree mechanic approach to see if one is dead?

It was a coil pack.
Tested by inserting a new plug and checking for spark.
Verified by moving the "dead cylinder" over one after switching coils.
$44 spent at Autozone and problem solved.
Once again, this board proved pivotal in yet another dealershipless repair.
Thanks!

Hey...I just had a code for gas vacuum leak. Then another blinking engine light with tcs. Got sick of it and headed to the dealer. Turned out to be a misfire. Changed coil on one cylinder & cost is $289. Included was a $115 code check that is standard.
Good job Zenica at spending $44.
Suck for me but oh well, next time would check here first before heading to the dealer.

first checking here and seeing what suggestions the guys have.
This past repair, and the TB before were simple...a bigger job might have to go to Acura...what I save now, they might get down the road.
