CD and Radio issues

I have an 03 TL Type S. When the CD changes from one to the next it displays and Er-E1 error code and goes to radio play and you can not play the CD until you shut the car off then back on. Also the steering wheel controls are changing he CD track or changing the preset station when I press the volume up arrow. Sometimes when I press the volume down arrow on the steering wheel it turns the volume up. The steering wheel controll was changed and I am still having the problem. I think its a problem with the CD/Radio itself. Has anyone had similar issues?

I thought my CD's were bad too but I moved the CD's around and the problem did not stay with the CD's. I am still trying to get the used car dealer I bought my TL from to acknowledge the issue and fix it for me since I bought the car only a month ago. If they do not I will take it to an Acura dealer and pay for it myself if I have to.

We had the same problems on our 03 TL-S. Cd error & steering wheel control buttons. Dealer replaced the radio. Steering wheel control pads corrected. No part for the steering wheel control pad. Dealer claimed the connections were the issue. It functions perfectly again.

see the wired thing for me is... that the steering wheel controls work correctly at times, but other times they work incorrectly...

wouldnt it be cheaper getting an aftermarket radio than paying the dealer for a new radio?
