Car wouldn't shut off
Couldn't find anything on this...
Just got home a while back, tried to turn the car off and it would not shut off.
It took me several times, but it finally turned off. Anyone heard of anything like this. The last mod I did was the Fog lights, would this have anything to do with it.
Thanks in advance

what did you power or ground the fog lights to?
possible to have a bad ignition switch back- the electrical part, $50
was a big prob on 99s (had recall) and slight problem on later years
Do you have multiple keys on the car key ring?--adds sideways wear force inside ignition switch

Im thinking ignition switch if it allowed you to remove the key and stay running

I totally agree with totaled-
a 10 amp in a 3 amp location is begging for a dash fire at the least
There is a reason they use different current limits- when it hits that limit its already in the yellow danger zone- pops when at oh oh!! more than that and wire heat is a major issue..3 amp is fine wire
disclosure: I will run a 30 in a 20 for emergency to reach parts store
BUT dont run any load thru that circuit until fault is corrected
find the fault before driving or it will blow another fuse
Ahh the good ol days of towing the ~pos~ trailer! the BIG box of spare fuses~

Figured it out. It was the 10AMP fuse. It did it again tonight... The car would not turn off; so I began to turn everything off one thing a time.
The car finally turned off after I had turned the headlights off. I removed the FOG light mod and all is working again.
I think I installed the diode the wrong way or got the wrong one. I will just take it off for now.
Thanks
